Awards not only assist the awardees financially but they
provide recipients equally important encouragement by acknowledging their potential. It would be very fair to say that most of these
awardees, through determination, meet their training, education, and employment
goals, and are inspired by the support of Soroptimists to do so. This is
"advancing the status of women". Contact us for more
information on any of these awards by emailing

Carolyn McFall Mohr Scholarship
Soroptimist International of Mendocino-Sonoma Coast,
Inc. is proud to introduce the Carolyn McFall Mohr Scholarship, an annual
academic award for women entering or attending college programs. A dynamic
and vivacious woman, her career was spent opening new roads for other women
to follow in fields that were preciously considered "male only." This
scholarship is designated to help outstanding women who plans to enter
careers in fields of science, engineering, medicine, and other dominant male
professions.
Founder Region Fellowship,
Inc. Mission Statement
The mission of Founder Region
Fellowship, Inc. is to advance the status of women. This is accomplished
through offering financial support, totaling up to $25,000, to women in the
last year of their doctoral degree at institutions within the bounds of Founder
Region (California and Hawaii). A by-product of this support is affirmation of
the importance of the recipients work and their value as an individual. Our hope is to
support women who are working in fields that have great social importance to the
world. We hope that the recipient's work will reflect and further Soroptimist
ideals. We believe that these women will become a strong voice for all women.
