Soroptimist
International (SI)
Soroptimist International is made up of four federations: Soroptimist
International of the Americas (SIA), Southwest Pacific, Europe, and
Great Britain/Ireland. |
Soroptimist
International (SI)
SI is lead by an elected President and her board. International
conventions are held once every four years. |

SIA is one of the four federations. |

SIA is lead by an elected President and her board. The federation
holds their conventions once every two years. |
Founder Region
Each Federation is comprised of regions. Our region is named Founder
Region because Soroptimist originated with S.I. of Oakland, California. |
Founder Region
Our region is lead by an elected Governor and her board. Founder Region
conference is held once a year during the first weekend in May. The region
also sponsors an annual Leadership Training meeting in July. |
District I-VI
Each region is comprised of districts. Founder Region has six
districts covering most of Northern California, and all of Hawaii, Guam,
and the Marianas Islands. |
District I-VI
Districts are lead by District Directors. They hold district
meetings once a year in September or October. |
Clubs
Each district is comprised of a number of clubs.

| SOROPTIMIST SALUTES: FOUNDER
REGION

| SI/Fort Bragg, SI/Mendocino, SI/Mendocino-Sonoma
Coast, SI/Noyo Sunrise, SI/Ukiah, SI Willits and SI/Yokayo Sunrise, California, were
collectively nominated by a local business owner for the Mendocino County
Outstanding Volunteer Service Group of the Year. This honor is awarded to a
volunteer group that has provided consistent, loyal usefulness on behalf of a
particular effort, organization or cause for a prolonged period of time. The Soroptimist of the Americas,
